9 different classes all with different abilities, its own skin and individual skills and abilities along with health and movement defences. From its large community, like with CSS servers, Team Fortress 2 has a huge array of custom maps and mods. It is two years since Team Fortress 2 game servers first came out, and its as popular as it has ever been.
All Team Fortress 2 servers are split into 9 different classes, which have 3 sub classes for support, defence and offense. You don’t neccessarily have to play thse roles, however they have been set to exploit the best skills in these positions.
Defence will be the difference between you winning on Team Fortress 2 servers or losing it. Having players on the backline is vital to stop the snout from sneaking through.
Without using the bottle to melee, and without a proper gun you need to be skilled to play this class. The Demoman can take out enemies using a variety of clever tricks using the games physics engine. The grenade launcher is extremely strong and can take our classes with small healths with just a couple of hits. You can also use the grenade launcher to effectively take out sentry guns from behind corners. Laying sticky grenades as traps near intelligence or control points is a very good tactic. Just lay a few where they wont be easily seen and watch the kills roll in. Try this class if you are awful at aiming, but like explosions!
Our next class is the Heavy. This guy really packs a punch. He is also the heaviest and slowest of all the classes but makes up for that in the fact he has the most health and the biggest gun. He’ll take down the other classes very quickly. The only enemy he struggles against is his opposite number. With his large range, he can take on lots of enemies at the same time. On the flip side, his mingun does take a while to kick in. Once he hits you, don’t expect to move in a hurry! Heavies work best with someone else covering their back while they fire. If you like to make people shut up on game servers then this is the guy for you!
The engineer only normally attacks in retaliation. His role is to deploy and maintain buildings that are helpful to his team. They are best known for their sentry guns which are automated turrets which can be upgraded by whacking them with the wrench. However, you need to gather metal either from downed players, ammo crates and also their own dispensers. The dispensers will also resupply nearby units as well. Teleporters allow classes to instantly move from one section of the map to another. This may be from the spawn to an obscure place outside the enemies base. When it comes to getting their hands dirty they are not down and out with their slightly generic weapons. However with their turrets they are capable at medium range and normally stick in cover. If you like turrets and building, the engineer is for you.
